A graduate with a degree in economics from the University of California at Santa Cruz, Kayla began her career in the financial services industry in 2000 after a 20-year career in the Southern California film and television industry. After 15 years as a wealth management advisor at Merrill Lynch, Kayla joined Raymond James in 2015 and launched her independent practice, Voyager Wealth Advisors, Inc.

Kayla has completed the requirements to achieve certification as a Certified Financial PlannerTMprofessional and continues to meet ongoing certification renewal requirements. In 2008, she became the first financial advisor in the southern Utah area to achieve the prestigious Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) designation through the Wharton School of Business, and in 2010, she received certification as an Advanced Portfolio Strategist through the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA). She holds Series 7, 24, 66 and insurance licenses.

Kayla was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and spent her youth between Washington, D.C., and Tokyo, Japan. An active member of the St. George community, she has served on the Board of the American Association of University Women (AAUW), the Board of the Kayenta Arts Foundation, the Vision Dixie Steering & Implementation Committees and is a member of the Southern Utah Estate Planning Council. Kayla served as inaugural co-chair of eSMART, the first math and science camp for young girls in southern Utah, and is a strong advocate of education and opportunity for all girls and women. She and her husband, Dean, live in Silver Reef, Utah, and are passionate fans of anything outdoors.
