Stewart, CPA, Ph.D. \n \nAssociate Professor\n \nDixie State University\n \nBryan grew up in Southern Utah and attended Dixie College and Utah State University in pursuit of an associate and bachelor’s degree. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame with a Master’s in taxation, Bryan started his career in the national tax office of Crowe Horwath. Bryan also worked as a manager for Clifton Gunderson out of their Phoenix office, with his primary responsibilities including R&E tax credit studies and special issue tax research. \n \nBryan left public practice to pursue a PhD at the University of South Carolina when he received a fellowship from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants to motivate experienced CPAs to transition into academia. After graduating, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Brigham Young University (BYU) for eight years teaching an upper division tax course and Tax Research in the MAcc. He recently accepted appointment as an Associate Professor at Dixie State University in Southern Utah, where he grew up.\n \nBryan’s academic research focuses on exploring how professionals respond to different aspects and pressures found in the public accounting working environment.
